What is Inpatient Treatment
Inpatient rehab is also known as residential treatment. It is usually a 90-day programme. However, a doctor can recommend a 120-days program for severe or complicated conditions. Inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is the highest level of rehab service that can be recommended for a client diagnosed with alcohol addiction or other substance use disorder.
The inpatient treatment program combines integrated mental health services as well as medical detox. At Diamonds Refined Recovery Center we understand addiction both as a mental disease and how it affects our body, mind and spirit. Therefore, we have in place a multidisciplinary team that creates a holistic healing plan for each client.
Our inpatient treatment team comprise of the following professionals:
- Psychiatrists
- Nurses
- Psychologists
- Addiction Counsellors
- Nutritionist
Our inpatient treatment program makes use of various interventions and approaches geared towards assisting each of our clients achieve their sobriety goals. These approaches include; individualized counseling sessions, group counseling, psychoeducational sessions, and faith nourishment sessions.
What happens in an inpatient drug and alcohol rehab?
Following detox, you will move into a residential treatment unit where you will meet your treatment peers and participate in rehab services and activities.

- Individual substance use assessments and therapy

Who is Eligible for Inpatient Treatment?
Some of the questions to ask oneself are:
- Am I at high risk of experiencing drug or alcohol withdrawal symptoms?
- Have I had a relapse (a return to drinking/drug use) after getting sober?
- Have I already tried a less intensive level of drug or alcohol treatment?
Clients who benefit most from an inpatient treatment answer “YES” to at least one of the above questions.
What makes residential treatment program more preferable?
It is a path to sobriety that will provide you with an essential sense of community and mutual support. It will be both from the recovering peers and round the clock hours of attention from a dedicated team of professionals and caregivers.
Inpatient Program Treatment Phases
Primary Treatment Phase: 1st Month
Primary treatment phase focuses on helping the client gain an insight of addiction. The client is introduced to our integrated 12-steps program.
Secondary Treatment Phase: 2nd Month
Secondary treatment phase focuses on empowering clients with life skills to build resilience as they continue on their journey of recovery program.
Relapse Prevention Phase: 3rd Month
The Relapse prevention phase focuses on societal reintegration, relapse prevention and management.
Who is eligible for Inpatient Program Treatment
Clients willing to take admission should meet the following eligibility requirements:
- You should be at least 18 years of age or older.
- You should be suffering from drug addiction, alcohol addiction or other substance abuse
- You should be medically cleared for other medical conditions before admission into our program.
- Any prior psychological treatment, issues, or concerns should be discussed prior to admission to determine if a dual diagnosis should be part of the treatment plan.
- Prior treatment records could be beneficial in developing our treatment plan and should be provided when appropriate.
People Not Eligible for Admission
We recommend you not to be a part of Diamonds Refined Recovery Center if you fall under any of the below categories:
- Those whose physical limitations would limit their ability to participate fully in our programs.
- Individuals in need of acute hospitalization for severe psychiatric disorders.
